This tour combines the history of coffee production in São Tomé with the exuberant nature of the island.

We’ll start with a visit to the Botanical Garden, located at the entrance to the Obô Natural Park, where you can appreciate the rich biodiversity of the island’s endemic flora and fauna.

Next, we will pass through the coffee fields to reach the Monte Café Plantation, the largest coffee production centre in the history of São Tomé. There we will visit the coffee museum, learn about the history of the Ifraim producer and have the opportunity to exchange experiences with the local community.

Afterwards, we will take a walk to the beautiful São Nicolau waterfall and end the day with lunch at the Amada Negreiros restaurant. This restaurant serves delicious local dishes and is known for its traditional and authentic cuisine.

The tour will end with the return to your hotel.

Cette visite combine l’histoire de la production de café à São Tomé avec la nature exubérante de l’île.

Nous commencerons par une visite du jardin botanique, situé à l’entrée du parc naturel d’Obô, où vous pourrez apprécier la riche biodiversité de la flore et de la faune endémiques de l’île.

Roça Monte Café

Roça Monte Café is an old coffee plantation located in the mountains of the center of the island of São Tomé, in São Tomé and Príncipe. During their visit, tourists can learn about the history of the plantation, see how the coffee is grown and processed, and even taste fresh coffee. The roça has a number of historic buildings, including an old coffee factory, where coffee beans were roasted and packaged for export.
